Marshall is an Emmy award-winning TV producer with more than twenty years of TV experience, from documentaries to complex live studio shows and OBs. He has also spent ten years producing and presenting in national radio. Specialising in adventure, current affairs, science and children’s issues, he has made films in many extreme and dangerous environments.


Marshall created and series produced the internationally acclaimed Serious environmental adventure series, seen in a hundred and fifty countries. He was senior producer on the BBC TV science magazine show Tomorrow’s World and the children's news programme Newsround. Most recently he was Showrunner on Discovery’s top global show Gold Rush, and he series produced and directed new series Bear Grylls Survival School for ITV.


His investigative self-shooting partnership with reporter Chris Rogers has taken him to some of the world’s most troubled areas, from North Korea to Afghanistan to Brazil’s most lawless favelas.


Marshall has won a host of honours including an International Emmy, four British Academy (BAFTA) Awards and five Royal Television Society (RTS) Awards.


Factual books include Undercover, co-authored with Chris Rogers, The Newsround Book of Space, and Extreme Survival: An Adventurer’s Guide to the World’s Most Dangerous Places.
